Do you know of any way to get extra breather tubes for the Ahab and Neponset? Thank you.
@@mge1989 that's a very good question I don't know but let me look and I'll try to send you a link but just so you know the breather tube is not nessessary for the pen to be functional
@@mge1989 crap I can't find any and I don't own a ahab otherwise I would give you mine but the next pen club I go to I'll ask around
@@MissMarilynDarling Thank you. Agreed on the non-need for them 50 pens later 😊 BUT I feel the flow is reduced on the Neponset and Ahab with them in as many of them are too wet with the thicker flow. The Ahabs go bad on their own as the converter will strip to the section even with silicone or the replacement 307 one. They seem secure with these fixes but they leak and can twist right off.
I’m also checking to buy PTFE tubing but the actual size of these being used is unknown.

For some reason I cannot watch live streams on YT currently. They get interrupted after a few seconds. It's very weird, because it's the same no matter which computer I use, no matter which network I use, no matter which internet provider I use, no matter what VPN setting or not VPN I use. It seems to be UA-cam's fault, and yet I don't see others be that affected? Anyway, trust that I watch them afterwards at least. TY MMD (one thing that is the same, is my login to UA-cam and Google. They must have done this personal against me? )
One thing I've learned from youtube is that if you have difficulty on one device try another the other is turn everything off and turn it back on again , then if that doesnt work try refreshing the page sometimes that helps do you have any ad blocking software installed sometimes ad blocking software refuses youtube to let you watch the video if you have it enabled ; / thank you for watching after though ... I would try watching from a phone sometimes that helps
@@MissMarilynDarling TY, well as I said, I've already tried alternative everything. And this has lasted days. I couldn't watch your stream today either. But I have a plan: There is only one thing constant, and that's my logged in identity on Google/UA-cam. So it's got to be something personal against me from Google. Because it is Google/YT, not anything on my side, and if it wasn't personal, then everybody would experience it. My plan is to contact an expert, and see if there is some setting in my Google/YT account that could be involved. I haven't changed anything, but YT may have, in some upgrade.

I prefer the A1 but they are all great! Have you seen their version of the LS? It's the A3. It's heavier but it's awesome. "feel the temperature of writing" is the funniest tag line ever. So hilarious. Thanks for the video! Enjoy it!
Cool selection of pens and inks! Definitely more variety than what I'm using.😁 Here in Shrek country, Michigan (sand knoll in the middle of a swamp, lots of wild onions and a donkey. So what would you call it?😂 Well, half a donkey. An ancient pony mule. 😁) its first off a gray Parker 21 with a fine nib and Waterman Mysterious Blue. Second is a gray Esterbrook J with a 2668 (and very well worn) firm medium nib and Waterman Serenity Blue. Two blues because I want something not black for filling out applications for a handicapped accessible apartment and the multitude of doctor's forms I have to fill out. Thirdly is another Esterbrook J, this in green, with a 2442 stub nib and KWZ Pine Green. Fourthly is ANOTHER Esterbrook, a red SJ with another 2668 (less worn) and early 1950s Sheaffer's Skrip Permanent Red (with RC-35!😂) Fifthly is a 1920s black Sheaffer's with a Sheaffer's 3 nib in probably fine and KWZ Cappuccino. Lastly for now, 1970s Platinum pocket pen, fine, and Platinum Carbon Black. This is changing soon. I've been using Carbon Black for quite some time now, and it's time to clean the pen. So, I know what ink, still deciding which pen. Noodler's Heart of Darkness, either in a black Esterbrook J with a 2550 extra fine posting nib (posting as in accounting, not the Japanese for mail. This 2550 is the best extra fine I've ever used. Not any scratchiness) or a Noodler's Ahab I just bought on eBay ($9. Would YOU have passed it up?)

I dont like the Ahab but thats because of the filling mechenism but its not a bad pen I just prefer the konrad :)

This looks really cool! I was hoping the Kakimori nib I got would do the same thing but i have not tried it yet.

I was going to buy a nib holder with your guidance at Art Supply Wharehouse before we got postponed due to my hospital vist. I am almost back fit now but broke. I will text you offline to set up a new ASW visit. Also I ned to knowhow much I owe you for the Hondian Rainbow pen and the nib as you never told me. I need to get you paid.
Shoot, missed it live by 50 seconds. It is a nice green ink, however I am more interested in how you like the Lamy Studio Fountain Pen.
I love my lamy studio way better than any of the other safari vista 2000 I cant stand the texture of the 2000 so much I picked it up and put it right back down at the la pen show 2 years ago and havnt touched one sense.. I like my lamy broad nib but its on my lamy dark lilac I'm thinking about re buying a 1.1mm stub for it. or just another super broad nib
I have rainbows end so no Iris for me... Too close. And too blue.
the problem I have with rainbows end is that it has shimmer in and you really cant see the shimmer this ink is more purpley and doesnt have shimmer in so you can bacially put it in any pen :)

Good for you in selling pens! That's an area I struggle with. I even have pens picked out to sell. But I've only sold a few. I also haven't bought any pens recently. Partly it was the rush to pay off my house early, but, since then, it's like it's my new habit.
I totally get that but now you have some pennies to rub together you can focus on travel and spending time exploring pens and using up your inks :)

@@mariatriesart8389 well I hope not as many as I take I take 16 pills a day to keep this elder body ticking so I totally understand finding the right meds at the right amount that take care of the problem is no easy task there are so many things that could go right or wrong you hang in there

Looks brown to me, too. I make black walnut ink, and it's close to that color most of the time. The Gentleman Stationer, Joe, Crace, said he was looking for a red-black ink, but this is not it. I suggested he try Diamine Writer's Blood instead. The pen is gorgeous! From FPR? I just got a pen from Kevin for a little girl I met at a wedding in September, which I told you about. Had it engraved with her name, and sent several bottles of ink, too. Pretty classy.

I kinda like the color. And well, in terms of color physics, "brown" is an umbrella label for a lot of colors with a hue varying over yellow, orange to red, medium to low value, and low saturation, i.e. having black content. So a black red would for most people be "brown" or "a brown". yes.

Yours is a useful review but I only went through it because I had interest in the ink. Otherwise I would have left the video when you gave five minutes to something not relevant to the review.

I like this one! It looks like it would work in a semi-professional setting without raising any eyebrows. I like grey inks in general. The paler shades remind me of pencil lead, and ones like this are just interesting. 😁

Well done. I had no idea the feed was two pieces. I just completed this process and it looks like maybe there was some gunk collected in there. Now the pen seems to be writing super well. 🎉
Yeah I find that once in a great while that a few inks are too thin if you take out the middle bit and it bloops out onto the page but just add back in that middle bit and it works just fine :)

just be weary most people who make pens will tell you on their product page not to remove the nibs or any of the hardware unless you want t void the warentee !@@

The color looks a lot like Ferri Wheel Press Buttered Popcorn (they no longer make)
